About Us

At Horizons Enrichment Center (HEC), we are dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through a comprehensive day habilitation program. Founded in 1998 but under new ownership, HEC is dual-licensed by the Departments of Mental Health (DMH) and Health and Senior Services (DHSS).

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals with IDD to achieve their fullest potential by fostering personal growth, independence, and community integration in a safe and supportive environment.

What We Offer

At HEC, participants enjoy a variety of services tailored to their unique needs, including:

Life Skills Development: Learn essential skills like cooking, cleaning, and money management.
Community Integration: Participate in outings, dining, shopping, and local events.
Social Interaction: Build relationships and enjoy recreation in an inclusive, welcoming space.
Medical Support: Full-time nurse on staff who provides care for medical needs, including tube feeding and medication administration.
Transportation: Safe, reliable transport to and from the center in our brand-new vans.
